Amazon is currently giving free 1 year memberships to Amazon Prime (free 2 day shipping, $3.99 overnight shipping) to current students with a .edu email address: http://www.amazon.com/gp/student/signup/info I'm not sure how long they're offering this (it doesn't say on the site).

Just thought i'd give fellow students the heads up on this in case you haven't heard about it yet. This is going to save me a ton on shipping textbooks this year!

There is a signature drive for referendum 71 to eliminate the Domestic Partnership Expansion Law of 2009 in Washington state. The new law gives many of the rights of marriage to same-sex couples, without changing the current state definition.

Protect equal rights pledge to decline to sign referendum 71.

Hello, I'm a returning Seattle University student--as long as financial aid works out alright. I'm planning on living off-campus (at home), since I will be a junior when I am re-admitted.

I was wondering how the financial aid department is doing in this economic struggle--are scholarships harder to get and are financial aid harder to obtain? Also, is the art department the same? I'm a fine arts major and there were rumors before I left that the funding for the College of Arts and Sciences would be cut to create a football team. Not entirely sure how far along that got since I left.

Any recent updates/feedback would be great from SU!

Hi there!

I'm a transfer student from BCC and am considering Seattle U. Next year I will be a junior, and I have several questions about living on campus:

1. Do juniors and seniors still dorm, or is it pretty uncommon?
2. How expensive is it to live on campus?
3. Do you enjoy living on campus, and why or why not?

Thanks a lot!

My name is Jennifer and I am a casting associate at MTV.  Right now we are casting for an upcoming episode of True Life.  For this episode, we are looking for people who are at odds with their parents for one reason or another.  Whether it is because of your major, relationships, or your lifestyle, MTV is interested in hearing your story.  I would also appreciate if you could pass it along to anyone else you may know.

You can email your situations to Parents@mtvnmix.com with their name, age, location, phone number, and recent photo.

Thanks, and feel free to message me with any questions
Jennifer
